David Spencer
New Apparatus Sales Support
David is a home grown Saskatchewan boy, growing up in the Town of Shellbrook, near Prince Albert. With a six year leave for university, David returned to Shellbrook to serve for many years as the Deputy Chief, and ultimately as Fire Chief, all the while also serving on Town Council. He knows both sides of the table, and how things work in the civic back rooms. In 2003 David moved his family to Sylvan Lake, Alberta to take a position as Contract Administrator with Superior Emergency Vehicles. While serving at Superior, Rocky Mountain Phoenix was one of his dealers. When E-One caused the demise of Superior, David migrated across the street to Rocky Mountain Phoenix's new building and happily carried on quoting Rosenbauer fire trucks, the largest apparatus builder in the world!
David joined the Sylvan Lake Fire Department in 2004 and currently serves as an active member, and a training coordinator. Basic concepts, visuals, and hands on training are his key goals, with the occasional comical twist to keep things interesting.
David still resides in the Town of Sylvan Lake with his beautiful wife and soul mate, Coreen, of 24 years. They have two wonderful daughters out stretching their wings and influencing the world. He looks forward every day for walks with Coreen and their loveable Golden Retriever, Claire. People all over Sylvan Lake recognize them as "those people with Claire!"
