The Blackfalds Fire Department recently took delivery of their new Rosenbauer Walk-In Rescue, constructed on a Freightliner M2 106 2 door cab and chassis. The chassis features a 350 HP Cummins ISC8.3 engine mated to an Allison EVS-3000 transmission. The apparatus features a 20' side and rear walk-in rescue body with many compartment provisions taylored to the departments needs,command and rehab areas, high wattage generator with light tower, fixed winch, and side awning.

  • Compartment provisions include: adjustable shelves, roll out trays, vertical tool boards, pull-out-drop-down trays, vertical dividers, 16 unit SCBA bottle rack, and a air bag storage module for (4) air bags.

  • (4) Fire Research 1000W-240V scene lights recessed in the body (2) LH and (2) RH

  • Hannay ECR1600 cable cord reel with 200' of 120V 10/3 wire and an Akron junction box
  • Command Light CL615-FRC light tower with (6) Fire Research 1500 watt Optimum lightheads
  • Fixed front mounted 12,000# winch
  • (2) 9,000# winch/rope receivers (1) LH and (1) RH, (1) 12,000# rear trailer hitch
  • Audible Warning Package: Federal Signal PA-4000 electronic siren with (1) Federal Signal Dynamax 100 watt speaker
  • Optical Warning Package: Federal Signal 60" LED Jet Solaris lightbar, (8) Federal Signal 4x6 Quadra-Flare upper warning lights, (10) Federal Signal 4x6 Quadra-Flare lower warning lights, and (1) Whelen LED TAL1252L split traffic arrow
